Manama: In a dazzling display of colour and creativity, Aalekh’24, Bahrain’s most anticipated inter-school art carnival, burst onto the scene today (Friday) at The Indian School’s Isa Town campus.  ISB Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese inaugurated the Aalekh’24 and the Art Exhibition.Joined by  dignitaries including  Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman Dr. Mohammed Faizal, Hon.Assistant Secretary Ranjini Mohan, Hon.Executive Committee Members Mohammed Nayaz Ullah(Transport), Bonny Joseph(Finance & IT), Mithun Mohan (Projects & Maintenance), Principal VR  Palaniswamy, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas, Senior School & Academic Administration Vice-Principal  G Satheesh, Middle Section Vice-Principal Jose Thomas, Junior Wing Vice Principal Priya Laji, Art Education HoD Lekha Sasi,General Convener Vipin PM, community leaders and parents, the event kicked off in spectacular style. With Shakeel Trading Company and Bahrain Pride as the Title Sponsors and  FOGG  presenting the art carnival with National Transport Company as Platinum Sponsor,Medimix as Diamond Sponsor,Cholayil as Gold Sponsor and BFC as a sponsor, Aalekh’24 is more than just an art carnival – it’s a celebration of Bahrain’s rich cultural diversity and the boundless creativity of its youth.

From the moment the doors opened, the Art Gallery Exhibition at the RP Block became a bustling hub of creativity, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a stunning array of artistic expressions. With over 3,000 young artists showcasing their talents, the atmosphere was electric with excitement and anticipation. Aalekh’24 promises a day filled with cultural programmes, culminating in a grand finale and prize distribution at the Jashanmal auditorium at 8:00 pm today. The entire venue pulsates with energy and inspiration, setting the stage for a truly unforgettable experience.

At the heart of Aalekh’24 lies its commitment to inclusivity and collaboration. The group painting event, ‘Harmony,’ brings together school teams to create breathtaking acrylic paintings on canvas, fostering teamwork and collective creativity among students aged 12-18. Meanwhile, the Art Wall contest invites artists above 18 to leave their mark on the vibrant tapestry of talent.
The Indian School extends a warm invitation to all art enthusiasts, parents, and community members to join in this exhilarating celebration and show their support for the budding artists of Bahrain, said ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V Rajapandian,EC Members  and Principal VR Palaniswamy.
