Chief of Public Security: responding to incitement calls or security disturbing acts is a crime penalised by the law

The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, asserted that responding to incitement calls or acts that could disturb security and general order is a crime penalised by the law. He highlighted that according to the penal code law, incitement is a crime even if no act was committed.

He highlighted that in response to calls from suspicious parties that work from outside Bahrain that incited for violence and illegal rallies. The Chief said that responding to such calls could risk security, civil peace and the citizens’ interests, in which violators and participants would be held accountable.
