Manama: The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) Junior Wing celebrated Bahrain’s National Day with a heartfelt tribute to the Kingdom. The event, attended by around 4,000 students and 200 staff members, was a vibrant showcase of unity, pride, and cultural appreciation.
The celebrations began with a visually striking display as students formed the ‘Arabian oryx’ and spelled out ‘ISB RIFFA 2024’ on the campus grounds. Dressed in the colours of the Bahraini flag, the ISB community created a stunning spectacle that symbolized their respect for the Kingdom.
The day kicked off with a unified rendition of the national anthem, followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran. The highlight of the ceremony was the flag hoisting, attended by prominent dignitaries including Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Asst. Secretary & Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan, Hon. EC Member Biju George, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, and Vice-Principal Priya Laji, along with students, parents, and staff. In a symbolic gesture, 53 red and white balloons were released to mark the 53rd National Day of Bahrain.
Principal Pamela Xavier welcomed the attendees and shared the school’s recent achievements. The festivities continued with traditional Bahraini dances performed by students from Classes 1, 2, and 3, choreographed by Arabic teachers. These performances were a beautiful reflection of Bahrain’s rich cultural heritage.
