ISB Shines in CBSE Cluster Competitions

Manama: The Indian School Bahrain(ISB)recently demonstrated exceptional talent at the CBSE Cluster Bahrain Chapter sports competitions held at various prestigious venues. The school achieved remarkable results across Chess, Basketball, Badminton, and Table Tennis. In Chess, the school clinched first place in the Under-14 Girls category, with standout performances from Sanjana Selvaraj (VII F), Dhruvi Shrikant Panigrahi (VII E), Uma Eswari (VIII G), and Janet George (V Y). The Chess Under-19 Girls team secured second place, with talented players Richa Ann Biju (X T), Merlin Jeminichan (X D), Jessica Ann Prince (VIII H), and Alexia Vinod Thomas (VIII B). The Chess Under-14 Boys team also finished in second place, featuring Yedu Nandan (VIII A), Vaishnav Sumesh (VIII V), Kasinath K Siljith (VI T), and Daksh Pravin Ghadi P (VII N). Additionally, the Chess Under-17 Boys team claimed second place, with Mohammed Yasir Najeem (IX F), Vikas Sakthivel (X S), Shriram Panneerselvam (XII L), and Dhyan Muralikrishnan (IX C) rounding out the team.

In Basketball, the Under-19 Girls team exhibited incredible teamwork to finish in second place. The team consisted of Ameera Zoya (XI), Leah Biju (XI), Noopura Ashok (XII), Tanvee Naga (X), Shumvarthini (XI), Sruthi Suresh (X), Gayathri Ullattil (XI), Fatima Shashmeen (X), Kifa Siddiqui (XI), Janaki Sajikumar (X), Ghaniya Siddiqui (IX), and Faiga Vimal (VIII). The Badminton teams also performed exceptionally well, with the Under-19 Girls team bringing home second place, including Zaira Rose Anish (XI), Aleena Mary (XII), Nelia Harm (XI), and Seba Chacko Salaji (XI). The Under-17 Boys team secured second place, with Sanjay Kumar Pullanhi(VIIIM), Alen Thomas (IX B), Pranav Nair (X R), and Sreeanathapadmanabhan(IX S). In the Under-19 Boys category, the team also claimed second place, consisting of Devdarsh (XII L), Sai Sreenivas(XS), Saket Salesh (X P), and Dhan Syam (X P).

In Table Tennis, the Under-17 Boys team finished in second place, with Abhinav Muralidaran (IX), Joel Denny Pulikkottil (X), Dan Mathews (IX), and Aldrin Viju (IX). The Under-19 Boys team also secured second place, featuring Dhey Shah (XII), Job Prakash (XII), Muhammed Faisal Y (XII), and Fahim (XII). ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V Rajapandian, Executive Committee members, and Principal VR Palaniswamy congratulated the students and their coaches for bringing pride to the school under the guidance of HoD Sridhar Siva.
