Manama: The Indian School Bahrain (ISB), a beacon of educational excellence and holistic development, hosted its Academic Award Ceremony for classes 9 to 12 at the Isa Town campus on Wednesday, June 4,2025 with great pride and jubilation. The event was a grand celebration of academic brilliance, honouring the top achievers of the CBSE examinations for the academic year 2024-2025.Held in the Jashanmal Auditorium, the ceremony saw the felicitation of approximately 230 meritorious students from senior sections. These students were honoured with medals and certificates for their stellar academic performances, with many also receiving recognition on the Principal’s Honour Roll and Merit List.

Chief Guest Indian Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, Rajiv Kumar Mishra lighted the ceremonial lamp in the presence of ISB Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman& Hon.Member-Sports Dr Mohammed Faizal, Hon. Asst. Secretary & Hon.Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan, Hon. Member- Finance &IT Bonny Joseph, Hon. Member-Projects & Maintenance Mithun Mohan, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, Senior School &Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh, Middle Section Vice-Principal Jose Thomas, Junior Wing Vice-Principal Priya Laji, Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas, ISB Platinum Jubilee General Convener Prince S. Gold medals were awarded to Class XII school toppers Joel Sabu, Sreya Manoj, and Aradhya Kanodathil. Likewise, Class X toppers Devavrath Jeevan, Rajeevan Rajkumar, Deva Nanda Periyal, and Jomiya Kannanaikkal Joseph were recognised for their exemplary results. The academic newsletter Tidings was also ceremoniously released by Indian Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Rajiv Kumar Mishra showcasing the school’s stellar academic journey.

Chief Guest Rajiv Kumar Mishra lauded the school for its unwavering commitment to nurturing academic excellence and fostering a holistic learning environment. He praised the dedication of both staff and students, and commended the ISB for the smooth conduct of the NEET-UG examination, hosted on its campus.

Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, in his presidential address, attributed the school’s remarkable academic success to the collective efforts of its educators, parents, and the broader school community. In a moment of special honour, the newly instituted Swetha Shaji Memorial Awards were conferred upon Esha Ashutosh Mairal, Dania Hibah, and Jessica Vyland for securing a perfect score of 100 in Marketing in the Class XII CBSE examination.
Hon. Asst. Secretary & Hon.Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan, reaffirmed the school’s unwavering commitment to excellence. She acknowledged the collective efforts of the staff, students, and parents in upholding the institution’s high standards.

Principal VR Palaniswamy emphasised the record-breaking CBSE results accomplished this year. He commended the dedication and perseverance of the students and teachers that led to this remarkable success. He further stated that the school’s performance stands as a testament to its progressive academic environment and visionary leadership.
Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, who delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledged the relentless pursuit of academic brilliance that defines the school’s ethos. Earlier the commenced with the national anthems of Bahrain and India, followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran, a school prayer, and an invocation dance and group song. Serving as Masters of Ceremonies were Aditya Sujith, Rebecca Ann Binu,Shashini Gnanasekaran, Priyamvada N Shaju,Satya Tejeswi,Abhinav Binu and Abhijith Binu who conducted the proceedings with grace and poise.
